Underwater recordings made with a hydrophone capture not a metaphorical “voice” of the sea, but its acoustic presence — the movement of water and the pulse of space. The video responds to the sound, following the sound wave and its amplitude, creating a space for observation and pause. A photo series accompanies the atmosphere of the icy January shoreline at the moment of recording.

The coast of the Sea of Okhotsk appears as a transitional zone, where human perception meets different rhythms of time and existence. The project treats sound as a form of environmental memory and a way to hear what usually remains unnoticed.
