Water Code explores the ability of water to preserve information, reflect history, and act as a living witness of time. Water also refracts and distorts — it is both a mirror and a kind of optical code, an invisible current of life, an abyss. Water becomes a portal, a carrier of memory and information.
The monotypes were created using ink on water collected from various sources around the estate — the Moscow River, the Goryatinsky Ponds, and rain puddles.
